Among TV stars, no one (with the possible exception of "Dexter's" Michael C. Hall) has a more devoted following at San Diego Comic-Con each year than Nathan Fillion.
His popularity has grown by leaps and bounds among fanboys and fangirls ever since the cult series "Firefly," and within the past year, he's broken into the mainstream with the ABC detective show, "Castle."
"Castle" was not the only cop show at Comic-Con (see "Hawaii Five-O"), but if it didn't star Fillion, it probably wouldn't be there.
Fillion freely admits to loving the Comic-Con experience as much as the fans there love him. "I'm a fan, I'm a geek," he said, speaking to the media. "I'll wear my Spider-Man Marvel t-shirt, I'm having a good time. I'm so happy to be a part of the things I'm a fan of."
As for his hit show, "Castle," creator Andrew Marlowe revealed that Castle will soon be forced to undergo police training, in order to keep working with Detective Beckett, and will soon face a new serial killer adversary.
Fillion, who gleefully took part in "double rainbows" mania earlier this month on Twitter, had one succinct way to describe the show if it were a rainbow: "I would have to say it is vivid, intense, and full-on, all the way across the sky."
